The above would’ve been a huge deterrent to the exact same sequence in smaller scale taking place here. Effortless strip mining by dickhead collectives

I’m currently working my way through this, as it turns out. Which won’t stop me from aiding you in your mission - copy ordered!

Speaking of, I spent some of today clearing out some boxes of old gaming stuff and I found it. This is a first run cartridge, bought a few weeks after launch

Now has pride of place on a shelf

Then there’s finally, finally the physical Blu Ray release of season one of Edgerunners. Cannot wait to get my hands on this, though the release date(s) are still unannounced

I don’t want to be anywhere near the detonation of this bubble when it does explode.

Unfathomable levels of trust and grift applied to torrents of vapour, nothing more

Before seeing this article today I already loathed to fuck how engrained Spotify is in the music industry, at every level.

This seals it, would be incredible to see bands at all levels start to desert the platform but they’re forcibly beholden to the parasite because ingrained name recognition

Just tapped on that guys new BlueSky handle to enact the block, and saw this had already done it for me. Sputtered coffee

Still not quite over how impressed I am at the achievement by CDPR getting a tech demo running already (on a base gen9 console too) is for The Witcher 4

Simultaneously jeez is this itch going to be unbearable for the next ~2 years until projected full release

Staggering

I now own my first Kia EV6 AWD that finally fit the budget, drives like an absolute dream and such a cool space irrespective of it being the first gen.
Discontinued colour too, which is gorgeous

Apple just cannot help themselves. It’s been a good salve to remember that I have absolutely nothing set to collect or share health data, on any of my iDevices

Cue more hunting for increasingly brazen hidden options added to Settings

First print copy of my new annual subscription @wired.com magazine arrived this week. It’s a corker as expected

Please subscribe folks if you haven’t yet and can afford to do so

What game ignited your passion for gaming as a kid?

Star Wars: Dark Forces, which absolutely captivated me having watched Ep IV on TV before getting this on a compilation demo disc for Win 95

Had a read through the Grammys winners list from yesterday. This jumped out a mile and has made me so stoked

Congratulations Gojira & collabs being duly recognized for smashing a once in a lifetime opportunity at the Olympics

So sad to hear that Denis Law has passed away. The remaining 2/3rd of the United Trinity gone inside of 18 months, my Dad’s numb tonight as he saw all three undeniable legends of the game play for and win everything with United for years

At “only” $549/perhaps £499, the just announced RTX 5070 becomes a good candidate for my still-on-paper gaming PC. And yet, the temptation still remains to push for a 5080 to get some more future proofing

Regarding my area of expertise, you can fuck off all the way into the sun with this

Screengrab of one of the worst known offenders in GBible. “Way past the edge of traditional clickbait” is apt, but with many areas of game dev I’m feeling slightly ill at the clamor of AI garbage taking hold and promoting eventual ruin

Plenty to love in Jason’s (unordered) list here, and this banger of a line to open with. Hit hard, personally

After a combined 241 hours incorporating NG+, my time with The Witcher 3 is done.
Geralt’s happily retired, Ciri is taking her first steps (ie, hurry up 2026-27!), Yennefer and Triss have new roles in new places so overall very happy with my choices just… the wait!

I’m still buzzing from this surprise reveal, having rewatched the whole thing many times.

Tempered by the gnawing realization that I left my NG+ The Witcher 3 save right before both expansions, which I now have a need to rectify

This vapid idiot, for butchering the Xbox One announcement making it the most unappealing console right out of the gate. Such a colossal misstep

Excellent news. Long may the exodus continue! Still a bit sickening that eventually the largest things left thriving over there will depraved AI, scrapers and the dregs

Woken up over here. Just like that, the planet is inescapably fucked from today onwards. Completely broken
