My #TenMinMerlin netted this crop this morning. While it’s not my backyard, it’s a fairly good sampling of what I’ve seen/heard all week. Missing a Canada Goose, a possible Fish Crow, a White-Breasted Nuthatch, and a Carolina Chickadee for sure.

My #TenMinMerlin netted this crop this morning. While it’s not my backyard, it’s a fairly good sampling of what I’ve seen/heard all week. Missing a Canada Goose, a possible Fish Crow, a White-Breasted Nuthatch, and a Carolina Chickadee for sure.
I’ve just finished the 5th volume of Proust’s masterpiece. It has taken me years to get to this point, but I am enthusiastic about getting home from vacation to begin the 6th (and final!) volume. #Proust #InSearchOfLostTime

Just an evening out by the fire, listening to the birds and the gentle lapping of the lake. It’s one of the most peaceful moments I’ve had this year.

Today I learned the difference between the structure of chlorophyll and hemoglobin is a Magnesium atom (chlorophyll) vs. an Iron atom (hemoglobin) and I’m quite sure that if I had learned this in any biology class, my life would’ve been different.
