Things like this make me believe that our response to this Trumpian obscenity could become our finest hour.
Historically, great civilizations have never survived the presence of hyper-wealthy oligarchs. Ancient Greece, Rome, etc. were undermined by oligarchy. But in ancient Sumer/Babylonia, they kept the wealthy oligarchs in check and enjoyed over 2000 years of almost constant economic stability.
