I think the actual problem could be sourcing these guys to efficiently do the job. (Seen the 'interesting' day when our guide accidentally took me and the kids not to the SITE where they do the sky burials but to an actual sky burial....)

I'm used to finding bits of clay pipe, pottery etc when dry stone walling but a pewter, dolls house sofa is a new one.....

Fourth day of rain here in the Alps. Never known it so awful. And just before it clears for a few days of walking I've been gifted the lurgy by my daughter ruling that out as well. I have truly gone on holiday by mistake.

We're here on holiday but this little Heidi-house in the Austrian Alps is where my mother in law and family spent the latter part of the war fleeing the bombs in Hamburg. At the end of the war, Austria decided they'd supported the wrong side, and put them on cattle trucks back to Germany...
