Both his and his wife’s profiles, email accounts, and all associated phone numbers were erased by the university. When questioned, the university refused to say why, even though Wang taught there for two decades. No one has heard from the Wangs in weeks.

I'm seeing lots of people recommending to disable biometrics on e-devices when entering the US, but I have seen little to no one describing an encounter in this situation.
Anyone willing to share? What did you do when they asked you to unlock it? Did they confiscate the device if you refused?
