I've been getting at least one scam call every day and I hate it. They are obnoxiously aggressive.

I mean both are still solid options. For the Switch 2, Nintendo games are consistently bangers but a little pricey and there's a lot of expensive accessories you might want. The Steam Deck is more up front now, but comes with a case and you have the infinite money saving glitch that is steam sales.

I'm pretty sure I started interacting with you because every time someone was thinking about buying a steam deck on Bluesky I'd be giving the sales pitch for the brick of a handheld.

I doubt it. At some point of overcharging you're going to get so close to the Oled price people will just go "while I might as well buy the Oled" and if THAT model goes on sale then the scalpers are really cooked.

I'm guessing it's because computer components have gotten such a massive price increase due to AI demand the margin on the LCD Decks was too small or nonexistent.

The steam deck 2 isn't coming out until probably 2027 or later so I doubt valve is phasing out the original now.
