Morning June. I'm so glad to be seeing the dogs each day again! Those cabbages look huge in the light. Triffid-like!

He's certainly creating a diversion... How can he be stopped?

Call me cynical but I don't think it'll work that way. Somehow, they'll still get away with it. It stinks.

It's well worth a listen everyone. Hope you don't all have a blue Christmas but do listen to Em's song. Xx

How lovely Lou. Do you think snowdrops might grow in southern Spain (at altitude - cold winters...)
December 18, 2025 at 7:02 AM
I really like that! The colours... and the way it's growing. What's the pattern?

I used to have those old fashioned German Advent calendars. They had fantastically detailed tiny paintings behind the doors, and looked like stained glass windows if you held them to the light. (In my imagination anyway). They had a faint dusting of glitter on them. Magical!

Wow, I've not seen any posts from you for a while. Glad she is doing ok and speeding along there!
December 7, 2025 at 7:01 PM
Good one!

Which is an excellent book and everyone should read it in my opinion. Or indeed, any of Jonathan Coe's work.
December 7, 2025 at 8:32 AM
I don't mind. I could have started it and just ignored the dates/days... 🤣🤣🤣
December 4, 2025 at 2:22 PM

Yes, indeed. Also aim to get your idea across but don't stress about correct grammar all the time. If you can make yourself understood that's the main thing. Once you get that, you can start to focus on accuracy. Other folks might not agree though. It really depends on how you learn and your goals.

Ps, there are lots of text books out there. It really does depend what they are after. Graded readers are great. Text books are great but the exam focused ones are a bit dry. Try BBC English, they have all sorts on there. Also Future Learn and Open University might have free resources.
