I’ve found that many on the Left don’t really understand the concept of disagreeing with someone or thinking someone has a bad take without completely condemning them in perpetuity.

Up to now, I tended to view anyone saying that Kirk “just had an opinion and wanted to engage in open discussion” as being disingenuous, and I’m sure that’s still true of many of them.
However, this gives me pause. I didn’t take the possibility of an earnestly skewed perspective into account.
