Another option for those asking about equipment. Been doing this for about 10 years now and find myself constantly upgrading the setup. Finally very satisfied with this combo, very heavy but super stable and easy to put together

Have you thought of trying the Swarovski bino guard? I think they’re brilliant, flicks out of the way with one thumb when lifting your bins and goes back into position by itself as you lower them.

I’ve got a Hikmicro Falcon FQ50, it’s a higher spec than you are after Steve but even so I never use more than base mag as image degrades so much.

I ditched google after finding out they only supported their phones with updates for 2 years which I found unacceptable on a £700 phone. It was a while ago (pixel 2) so might have changed but I’d check before going that route.
