If they did, nobody would buy them. And they're not made by the US Government, they're made by a commercial company.

And most of this stuff isn't just US. Rolls Royce, BAe are involved.

However, 5th generation fighters are essentially computers with wings, so they could withhold software updates.

I think the 2010 bounce was to do with the Tories talking the country down into a triple-dip recession and punishing ordinary people for the consequences of market deregulation, which they wholeheartedly supported.

It's a terrible argument. People don't know the cost of producing things. All of their perception of what high & low prices are is set by the retailers. They decided that milk should be sold at below (farmers') cost & at very low margins for themselves. It wasn't customer driven. But they blame us.
