Larva found on 10th May on lavender, kept, fed, and then pupated has emerged as a Willow Beauty 14th or 15th June. A sure way to match caterpillar to species. Fife. #moths #MothsMatter #teammoth

Further to my earlier post of 2 days ago the next morning I saw the female bee presumed to be Megachile willughbiella also. Those mandibles look well made for leaf cutting. #SolitaryBeeWeek #buglife

Ladybirds climbing up the trunk of a Rowan tree in Cupar this morning. Adalia bipunctata the 2-Spot Ladybird. Two were coupled, presumably mating so more of the species to come in the future. Aphids beware ! #Buglife #coleoptera
