So I watched Kinda Pregnant last night, and while I don't really want to dip my toe into all y'alls thoughts about Amy Schumer, I do want to talk about the use of the Anne Sexton poem.
Is it me, or when a movie features her poetry, does it have a tendency to obliterate whatever else is going on?

I made soup the other day (damn single-digit temps), I realized it's like writing. The steps in the process. Combining ingredients, like characters, setting, POV. The seasoning of revision. And look at this photo of leggy carrots. Aren’t they precious? Then I ate them, bwa-ha-ha.
