I get that ..sometimes they get lazy with it. I think it is now considered a trope, and a way to move the plot without slowing down. Shouldnt be used in every movie...

as long as it requires no heavy lifting, fine....but i dont need to know why the dr is disgraced and drinks. Stitch the hero up, and move on...
First Blood would have been a buddy/doctor film. We would lose all isolation of Rambo in the hunt and in his life, if we intro'd a dr to stitch him up.

It was unnecessary...i dont mind the missiles, but it was like they couldnt make up their mind so they did all three. The sci fi death wasnt necessary, for a bond we established as close to realistic, like nolan batman.The villain was weak so it played wrong....

they really kill him too....he was infected by nanobots that were going to kill him, he had a gunshot wound in the gut, and to make sure he died, they then showered him with missiles.
