I've been wanting to get into astrophotography for some time. Today I printed a connector for my Canon D60 and hooked it up to my 8" Dobsonian telescope. This was the first photo I took. Not amazing by any standard, but still super fun. #moon #astrophotography #space

Is the US really this behind in research? I'm working on a paper about distracted driving and most of the academic research I can find on the subject is from China. I'm glad I'm able to find data, but it's eye opening seeing that there's so few papers from the US being published.

This is really my only gripe I have with China. The censorship is a bit overboard. Instead of removing responses and completely avoiding the topic, they could at the very least allow for some discussion. Deepseek won't even tell me that square exists. #china #censorship #deepseek #history #truth

On the DEI front, when I was a hiring manager, I practiced DEI daily, and never told a soul until after I had left that company. DEI does not have to be a directive. It can be successful with just a single person in a company doing what's right for their team by hiring the right person for the job.
