Having trouble with age verification so can't view chats at the moment
I'm not usually an electronics person, so fitting everything into the box and connecting it up was a bit of a challenge! Luckily my dad is, and helped me out with this part! He also contributed the code for the LED matrix, including the "Xbox" message when the game is in a menu.

It uses the games' UDP data out feature and displays the RPM (the row of LEDs at the top), lap times (best lap and last lap), current game, whether the game is in menu or in a race, acceleration (in g, displayed on the LED matrix), and acceleration direction on the arrow LEDs.

Here are some screenshots from the app, unfortunately my map service subscription expired so I can't show the interactive map. There are a few other features I can't show (such as map previews, venue images), and I've replaced the rating categories and venue names with placeholders.

User-centred design was an important part of this project, with the rating criteria and usability feedback gathered from a survey and focus group to help create an application that works for everyone.

Also, anyone can add venues, so there is no limit to which venues can be reviewed.

As a trans person, I've personally experienced a lot of discrimination, which prompted me to come up with this idea. However, to create something for the community, members of the community must be involved in the design process.

The two main perspectives I explored in my dissertation were: for people, helping others find places to go; for venue stakeholders/organisations, improving their inclusivity in order to encourage more people to visit them.

The ratings for each venue are combined into a score which shows how inclusive each venue is, and helps other people decide on which venues to visit.

There's more functionality to implement in the React app that's available in the Django back-end, such as filtering and collaboration, which I can hopefully work through soon!

At the moment the front-end React app doesn't have that much functionality apart from basic create, read, update, and delete, however a couple of highlights are the paginated lists (fetch items in batches of 10, as required) and the auto-suggest box for the payee budget!

The idea for the app is to track how much I'm spending to make sure I stay within budget. Each budget has a set of associated payees, who have payments to or from the budget.
