I used to be a sailmaker and December was always a shit month because people would come in and ask if we could repair their sails that they had ripped last xmas but forgot to organise then. Then they would get shitty at you for saying haven't got time. That's why there is not many sailmakers left.

"business leaders" are only there for the shareholders, who are at the moment asking for more dividends. And the only way they can get more money is to cut costs/ staff. Shareholders are the ones who vote on CEO pay increases.

I know this is about Terence but man how good are the Kinks. They truly loved London and England. I wish I was older if only to have had a chance to see the Kinks in the 60's. The Collector is one of my favorite movies of Terences.
