I think it depends on the reason for the Boycott and personal views. For example Im gay and certain family members still go to Chic Fil A. They can go fuck themselves. It shows they are more about shitty chicken than humans being treated with dignity.

I grew up in an era where the VCR and compiters weren't a thing most people had to an era now of grandparents not knowing how to make a pdf and kids not knowing how to read. I live in a horrible era. 😀

Thats the key right there "for people who know what they are doing". The Steambox is for people who either don't know what they are doing or simply dont want to spend a week configuring a device to play some games.

I think most people arent grasping what the steambox is. A set-top version of the Steamdeck.

The Steambox is not for people who care about PC functionality. Its for people who want a Steamdeck type of experience in a console form.

And Launchbox is not anywhere close to a console like experience. It requires a bunch of configuration and doesn't work half the time.

The benefit is mostly that its a console first.

I miss the days when you could easily tell the processor strength by the numer and name.

The fact price has not been mentioned makes me think its going to be some absurd price.
