Did another sketch of Yeeryie in Different Strokes. Since I don't know what anyone might do to it I'm posting it here.

#5: Intellivision - Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: Cloudy Mountain
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advance...
I think this was the first console rogue-lite and possibly the very first action rogue-lite. Randomly generated dungeon mazes full of monsters hiding in the dark, inventory and end game.

Dragon's Lair: I feel bad about posting this one. It's not a good game. From a gameplay perspective it is awful. I love Don Bluth animation though, so I have to put in in this list because I've bought it for PC *TWICE* now.

Another classic favourite was GORF. I had this on the Vic-20 and it was a decent port considering the limitations of the ancient PC. GORF was special because it had synthesized speech and was several games in one, plus had one of the first boss battles with a weakpoint.

Yup we're starting back in the long past. Another favourite from the classic age was Frogger. My family had an LCD "mini cabinet" of Frogger and we played it endlessly. I believe we still have it and it still works. Unlike Q*Bert my fondness is more for home versions, arcade version ate inputs.

Q*Bert
I grew up with the classics and remember when Pac-Man was hot. The isometric graphics were eye-catching but what I really loved was the sound design. The 'squoo-erp' that played every hop Q*Bert made was incredibly pleasing and the jibberish speech was fun.
