This at the time when chatbots are accused of encouraging suicides, sexting with kids, and other inappropriate and dangerous topics? Oh, it should be really interesting to see what "Jesus" tells people to do...

Time to start sanctioning US.

But despite Trump's best efforts, US still holds too much power for anyone to have the brass needed to oppose it.

With so many AI companies promoting their products as safe and intelligent and whatnot, not to mention trying to outshout any public awareness that would lead to the AI bubble bursting, it's hard to blame the victims. She *could* have known better, but that's all.

US is now the largest padded room in the world, staffed by some 300 million people, all to house just one inmate.

Even if not (and I'm not saying he didn't; I don't know, nor care), the extent to which he has propped up Hamas just to avoid a less destructive Palestinian government should be more than enough to share the blame for the attack.

It's the trailer. The randomness of the scenes and lack of anything happening other than slow camera movement has all the qualities of an AI-generated clip. Except that creating this one probably used up a lot more electricity.

I remember a time when forums intended for children didn't need even moderation, only an occasional prod to keep the conversations going. Watching the internet slowly slide into a gutter and then start digging a channel to a cesspool was hard. Sad that such bans make perfect sense these days.

That helmet is really missing some tinted glass to complete the look.

Let me guess, there's a some legal subclause that disqualifies this from being called piracy?

Have you ever heard of religious zealots of any description that acknowledged other people's rights, or that their own rights have any limitations at all?

Didn't he merely retire? Besides, unless it's the old-as-dirt version of Cap, he's more likely from another universe (these movies are supposed to wrap up the multiverse arc) or from the past (article suggests he's with Peggy).

More likely just trying to improve his chances of reelection.

Is "Trump rants about [noun] during [adjective] speech" a shortcut by now, and you just have to fill in the topic of the day and his level of the incoherence? It does apply at least once almost every day.

Possibly a pie?

Good that there's an improvement. But Hamas and Israel should still be jointly held responsible for this disaster, not celebrated for reaching a (possibly only temporary) ceasefire.

Mildly expressing complaints is "going scorched earth"?

In short, EU farmers have to follow very high EU standards (and are now culling entire herds whenever some viral infection is detected), while the deal seems to allow importing Brazilian meat pumped full of hormones and antibiotics.

What's white about that house? It's the Gilded Outhouse these days.
December 19, 2025 at 11:44 AM
How in the world is this real?!
December 17, 2025 at 8:45 PM
Love how they claim US is doing Europe a favour twice over. First, by US companies graciously operating in Europe, providing much needed services to the unserviced Europeans. Then, by US graciously allowing desperate European companies to operate in US, having somewhere to sell their services.

I see plenty of room for GenAI tools in early development that doesn't in any way take away from the artists.

Generative AI still has a *lot* of problems, but this knee-jerk "AI bad, artists go hungry" reaction is just making it more difficult to establish some guidelines on ethical use.
December 17, 2025 at 5:25 PM
Is it diminishing them?

Though it was some 20 years ago, when I was doing some illustrating, even (or perhaps especially) concept art involved a lot of research, throw-away designs just to see how different concepts could work together, to identify problems, etc., all before any real art started.
December 17, 2025 at 5:25 PM
Which is why, as I said, I expect usage prices to go up. Right now many applications are still solutions looking for problems, to justify the investments.
December 17, 2025 at 4:23 PM
Oh, I'm not saying that there aren't very many problems. Right now it's driven by hype and greed, and the legal system hasn't caught up yet. But the technology has certain real potentials (unlike NFT and similar (though AGI is still just a fiction)), and I expect much will change about it.
December 17, 2025 at 4:20 PM
Yes, training uses absurd amounts of power. But I hope that will change as the hype fizzles out. No company training the GenAI models has yet turned profit, and it's only a matter of time until investors stop throwing money at it. Which should also change how it's used when it costs more.
