I think, sadly, enough people fall for it to make it worth their while. If they only need to scam £1000 for example, that's only 100 idiots at a tenner each. So using a bot to msg 10000 people means they only need a 1% success rate. Sorry, got all a bit mathsy there for a second, I'll hush now. 🤐
