It's been a while but I updated my running blog for the every day project, which now stands at 394 days! Fair warning, this is not a particularly successful update :)

I had been pretty excited to run 50 miles at the inaugural 'Witching Hours' 12hr run in Long Island last weekend for a variety of reasons. First, it had been a while since I covered anything close to....

It's embarrassing, sure, but it was absolutely the right thing for her to hand over the Nobel Peace Prize. Who gives a shit? She's not actually bestowing any kind of honor to the big dummy - it's a trinket. And if patting him on the head makes it more likely she can RUN A COUNTRY, you do that.

I want to roll my eyes at the Dodgers but then I remember I was a Yankee fan as a 90s kid so instead let me just say we did the whole 'we're going to buy every piece of talent and make the game no fun for a decade' first!

Random thought but the way Netflix nailed the characters of Daredevil, Punisher, Jessica Jones, etc needs to be studied and duplicated as much as possible and for every genre. Give me a gritty GI Joe series as seen by Netflix

Is Myles Garrett the defensive version of Barry Sanders? Video games skills and gaudy numbers for a franchise that is otherwise irrelevant?

The NY Giants being absolutely pointless to the playoff picture all year only to win back to back meaningless games to finish the season, thus messing with their draft positioning, is so perfectly on brand for this franchise in the last decade - it's crazy making.

Every time he says something stupid and outlandish and we all laugh it off, he just does it a few months later.

Anyway, I'm wondering where we'll put the 51st star for Greenland on the new trump flag, selling for $51.51 at whatthefuckishappening.trump.org

Been trying to figure out all day why Buffalo, with all the momentum and Philly unable to do anything offensively, went for 2 at the end. I've now settled on not trusting the kicker to make a FG in those conditions in OT, but otherwise I don't get it. And yeah I know Allen makes that throw 90%+

If we could put together a loser's bracket of Tate vs Paul in any kind of physical combat, that's a PPV I'd cough money up to watch. Win/Win

It's wild that in a 2yr window during which the WNBA reached new heights of popularity that the possibility of it folding entirely became non-zero for the first time in decades.

I know Karoline Leavitt is enabling a madman but she's also the exact kind of delusional hype man we should all have in our lives.

Me: My wife left me
Karoline Leavitt: Congrats to her for holding down such a sexual tornado as you for as long as she did! Clearly her departure is due to exhaustion

Imagine a friend has always wanted a dog. But for whatever reasons, it just never happened. Then one day, you see a pic online and your friend got a hairless cat. They're smiling in the pictures and, you know, good for them, but that's not a dog.

Anyway, congrats to the Knicks on winning the cup

Look, is Mike Johnson a sniveling POTUS puppet? For sure.

But we've had those before. What makes him so unique is his blind allegiance. You've got cracks all over MAGA for a lame duck president with approval ratings at historical lows. At least hedge your bets a little there Mikey, FFS.

The good thing about Lane Kiffin is that he unapologetically exposes the hypocrisy of NCAA coaching bemoaning NIL money or the transfer protocol. The bad thing about Lane Kiffin is he does those thing in such a deeply Lane Kiffin-y way.

Absolutely hate that Sonny Gray is going to Boston but love that maybe the best baseball name in a generation is at least in the division. Tell me that 'Sonny Gray' was the 3rd baseman in Field of Dreams and I wouldn't question you for a second

The number of Thanksgiving dinners that will be interrupted by someone genuinely asking 'What exactly is feltching?' is so damn funny to me.

Where my conspiracy theorists at with this latest Epstein news? Do you actually want monsters held accountable or you just like backing the party that makes you feel better about casually using the N-word? I'll trade you all the Clintons for your Trump flag. Deal?

Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden and even RBG. All members of a club who did amazing things to move a progressive vision forward and then stayed a decade too long, undoing a huge part of the good work and good will they spent a career building. Term limits for everyone, ya'll

I'm as furious as I've ever been about politics right now with the Dems pointlessly caving on the shutdown but I honestly think we should stop with the Fetterman outrage. We know who he is and we need him out of office but acting shocked that he does anything other than vote red is a waste of energy
November 10, 2025 at 8:37 PM
Tim Waltz literally just said that even though every fucking poll shows America blames republicans for the shutdown, those opinions can change. So on the chance that you could lose your only leverage in years, you’re just going to forfeit that leverage now. Fucking shoot me

I know it was a resounding win for the left last night because I haven't heard from a single right leaning friend or family member today. Not a meme, not a 'Did you see this fake story?' text, nothing.

I'm not trying to whitewash his legacy because he died but I think Cheney was the kind of villain you want in this world. A net negative but someone who really thought he was doing the right thing, and therefore accidentally did the right thing occasionally. He wasn't trying to take over the world

If the Democrats had any troll game in them, they'd announce a bi-partisan sentiment to name the soon to be constructed wing and/or dance hall after Dick Cheney.
