A6M5 built under license by Nakajima. Captured by US forces on Saipan June 44. The scheme may or may not exist, and if it does nobody knows the actual greens used. I did it because I like it, and variety is added to my Zero collection

It was admiration for what they have become. I hadn't realised the older kits were so "normal".

I love Eduard kits, though I only have the fortitude for a couple a year.

This is what a 2025 kit looks like

My word, this is a 1998 mould from ... Eduard....wtf. As it's a Profipak boxing from 2011 there is some PE to spice the cockpit up. I did not expect this.

A grand evening, Neil and I have been friends for 30 odd years. We haven't allowed distance to get in the way.

All finished off with a crawl around old West End haunts from my days living in the big smoke

A Banksy exhibition you say, why not? Very conflicted about this. I thought Banksy was anti-consumerist, this was unashamedly a money grabbing exercise.

I was very lucky that the trip coincided with London Welsh v Guernsey Raiders, a very rare chance to see my rugby team in action. Result wasn't what I wanted but many beers were sunk in Richmond

Went to see The Damn Truth at The Underworld, second time that I have done so. They have definitely grown their on stage presence.

Getting out of the habit of posting. Anyways I made the long journey down south for 5 days in London. Mostly to drink proper beer with my mate Neil, but squeezed in some culture. I approve this idea of a coffee house

The Eduard kit is magnificent

I just can't leave the Hinomaru alone. A significantly more modern offering from Tamiya.

The scheme will not please a single purist. Some argue it doesn't exist, those that say it does cannot agree on the colour. 🙄🤪🤔

Guess what....I don't care.

Nakajima A6M2-2...basically a Zero with floats. A 1970's vintage kit by Tamiya. Cheap and a quick bit of fun.

A good mojo cleanser, there was just enough room for it on the 2nd Soviet armour shelf.

As always with Soviet builds I have attempted to portray either incompetence or menace.

Soviet SU-18 self propelled gun. It never went into production, top heavy, narrow gauge and only held 4 shells.

Prototype roll out day, 10th October 1930, the ever-present commisars are not happy.

Kit by HobbyBoss 1/35. Loved making this little one.
