Shameful management of public funds. And for what? A ridiculous railway that shaves a few minutes off Birmingham to London timings.
Wondering why Labour is so quiet?

It was Gordon Brown's British government that approved this disastrous waste of public money in the first place - purely as a political vanity project, as Mandelson later revealed.

HS2: a complete failure by the British state and its politicians
There have been many chances to avert this ‘appalling mess’, but, fuelled by political puff and short-termism, the project has become a farce

Absolutely shocking.
"We cannot continue to participate in the social network feed of a man who proclaims the death of the media and therefore of journalists... X is a platform that no longer serves the public interest at all, but the special ideological and financial interests of its owner and his political allies"

Why Labour stick with the mad right tory privatisation nonsense is beyond me.
In 1970 the UK and Norway were roughly equal, almost no debt, and owned all their Public Services.

Now the UK owns nothing and has £3tn of debt.
While Norway still owns everything and has the equivilant per person of £10tn.

That's how privatisation 'works'.

The UK government is looking to hire a new EU negotiator as Starmer attempts to 'reset' Britains' relationship with the EU.

The first piece of advice the new advisor should offer, is to stop ruling out the single market, customs union, freedom of movement and youth mobility.
Ministers seek EU negotiator to lead reset talks
The Government is looking to hire a new EU negotiator on at least £150k as it attempts to reset relations with Britain’s near neighbours.

Brexit 100% Cameron’s fault. If it wasn’t for his arrogant assumption that he would win the mad right would never have managed to create the lies that led to the leave vote.

The problem with Margaret Thatcher is that she was a scumbag who looted the UK for her Neo-Conservative buddies, and she gave some crumbs to cover it up.

In her 11 years in charge she sold enough national assets to fund the NHS for 50 years.

What did you get?

A discount council house, at most.

Sadly, it will take the UK decades to get rid of the superiority complex that the far right are desperate to hang on to. This article explains some of the difficulties that we face in the coming years.

Brexit – an unwelcome truth
Labour’s continued silence on Brexit might just reveal an unwelcome truth; another reason, perhaps, to use the Brexit telescope?

Hello, just arrived from the cesspit that Twitter has now become. I understand that this is a far more balanced environment. Looking forward to engaging in debate.
