I think I was around 6 when I first played ff2 and it instilled a love for JRPGs. that may have dulled a bit over the years, but it’s never really gone away. I still have extremely positive feelings on the game. It’s so good

I agree - Winry Rockbell should be in every game.

somehow being in 3d made metroid feel more restrictive and on rails than being in 2d, like there were more defined paths through areas or something. I didn't finish Prime, I got real sick of it, but that was my general feeling playing it vs like Super and the GBA metroids.

I think my big issue is the choice paralysis up front with party selection - I just need to look up a guide on how to start and I’ll probably be fine.

I gotta give those games another shot. FFL1 was weird to get into, and I just didn’t get over the initial learning curve.

I can leverage a number of complaints at valve, but they’ve got the means to hold off on releasing stuff until it’s good, and a pretty solid track record of doing just that. I at least trust that when I get something they made it’s gonna be solid
