I wonder how @schumer.senate.gov feels about Republicans now. As recently as March, while on his book tour about the Holocaust, he actually said Republicans weren’t that bad. I was stunned that he couldn’t make the connection between the GOP & fascism then. Can he finally make it now?

This seems pretty clear to me. None of the Republicans involved in 1/6 should have been allowed to run or be seated.

They also thought that what they DID write would actually be enforced! NONE of the people who participated in 1/6 should have been sworn in or even allowed to run. @democrats.org

The part that so many Americans seem to gloss over is the FACT that We gave Joe/Kamala/Dems FOUR YEARS to prevent this from happening. They totally ignored 1/6 & let the Republican architects of an attempted coup go unpunished.They were even allowed to run & be seated again! It’s hard to understand.

We need to be like EVERY OTHER industrialized nation and institute universal healthcare. “The richest country in the world” got there by not providing basic humanitarian needs to its citizens. Healthcare should be covered by our taxes. It’s time we confront this problem, and join the 21st Century.

Our Founders were pretty clear that We did not want a lawless king.
We can start by insisting the people in power UPHOLD the ACTUAL Constitution instead of letting things like a MEMO, written to protect a former corrupt president, take PRECEDENCE.
The 14th Amendment section 3 is also pretty clear.

Nowhere does it say Congress can’t institute the 14th Amendment. Dems had the majority. You don’t let Republicans tell you what you can do.

Why do people STILL believe that Republicans are “under trump’s spell” when we’ve all seen Project 2025 which is the published REPUBLICAN AGENDA? Republicans have been looking for a figurehead like trump who isn’t interested in policy for decades. The GOP IS running the show, trump is THE FRONTMAN.

Sadly, Dems have decided it is more important to listen to their donors instead of their voters. I still can’t get an answer as to WHY Dems didn’t invoke the 14th Amendment when they had the power! Were they afraid for their personal safety so they chose to endanger US ALL instead?

I’m sorry the Dems didn’t take the threat Republicans pose to Democracy seriously when We gave you the power to stop them in 2020. Elected Dems literally ran for their lives on 1/6, & then just gave the high level GOP architects a pass. Enforcing the 14th Amendment was a valid option. What happened?

I’m so angry at Democrats because I thought that was the plan in 2020 when we elected Dems into the majority after 1/6. Republicans involved in an attempted coup to stop the transfer of power never should have been seated. All Dems had to do was uphold the 14th Amendment.
