I wouldn’t be surprised if the filmmaker’s never even read Fleming’s book that’s also titled Moonraker.

I like to think that my MaMa (born in 1909) is proud of her great-granddaughter (born 109 years later) just for how I’ve taught her it’s unwise to buy vowels on WoF.

My 7 y/o has recently started watching WoF with me on a regular basis, and she has quickly learned that nobody should ever buy vowels.

As a child I watched WoF with my grandmother who was born in 1909 (my ‘MaMa’ - pronouced ‘Maw Maw’). MaMa had utter contempt for all WoF contestants who bought vowels.

This would have been a 0/25 in all of undergrad religious studies classes I took at my state university 20+ years ago (including the course on the Hebrew Bible that was taught by an adjunct prof who was also an ordained UMC minister).

When my 7 y/o sees me watching a cfb game not involving UGA she always asks which team I want to win, and I always say I don’t want either team to win. In our house, there’s only one team we ever cheer for.
