my goal is to be an advocate for immigrant families. Its not their fault that they have been pawns in a destructive system that set them on a dangerous path, desperate to find a new life. I empathize with them. We must not lose our humanity now.

The fact that the sole purpose of MAGA is to fight the “woke” mentality, which literally just means being a decent person and having empathy, says everything about who they are.

Part of my work is is in providing gender affirming care for adults and my transgender patients inspire me every day with their fearlessness and courageousness despite the odds. As someone who’s always struggled with self esteem I find their courage in the face of adversity inspiring.
