Before I knew it, I gained the permanent friends I'd yearned for as a sad, lonely, neurodivergent kid.

A family.

Even after that, we all started to play almost every game we could, dragging each other to Jackbox nights, Roblox, Fortnite— more that I had planned to immortalize through art but ran out of time. (still drawing that tho gang trust dw lmao) ...

Everyday up until 6 in the morning just goofing off. What we used as an alternative to Discord/Here.fm soon built up as a sort of virtual house for us to share, X-Mansion. (bc obviously i was brainrotting wydm) ...

That I would just gain friends through a common struggle. But then, on a particularly lonely night... I offered to invite them to watch a movie online on the site that our school used for face to face calls, Gathertown.

The rest was history.

That week, none of us got sleep. ...

Couple that with my mother and I's financial situation being so rough enough that we can't even afford therapy anymore, safe to say that the noose was already tied around my neck.

But like every year, my cowardice stopped me from actually taking the leap.
