It is quite likely I am overthinking the idea, solely based on the information given in the article, which is obviously going to be a discussion and not necessarily the definitive rules change.

If there is a clean way to include all of these hybrid cards and allow for more variety, that would be awesome, but I just don't think it would be nearly as intuitive as many folks are insinuating.

I provided 3 examples of corner cases that I think would be tough to categorize based on the article provided.

I also think allowing 2 colour hybrids in only their respective colours while allowing Beseech the Queen in ANY deck rather than black OR colorless only is a weird delineation.

I think Jim is right in that there will be a bunch corner cases that make it less intuitive than simply stating "Hybrid cards that have a colour outside your commanders colour identity are not legal in your deck"

One thing I found odd is that its suggested two colour hybrid cards would only be eligible for the respective mono colours or both, but cards like Beseech the Queen could be played in any deck. How do we then categorize the multi colour "twobrids"? Or cards with different hybrid symbols?

I know it might not add a meaningful amount of cards into the wild but it did get one in MB2 in white border but it is roughly half the price of the Morningtide version
