- till one day I accidentally hit my follower and then the thugs *and* my follower turned on me, they all became hostile and would not stop fighting me no matter how many saves I went back.
So I killed them all, and now every save it is on sight with Faendal.

Mine was getting a group of hired thugs just be friendly, they followed me for like 50+ hours, they fought other bandits and any other enemies that got near us, basically a free security detail -
