I've had colleagues in meetings say "I've asked chatgpt (...)". Dude! This is a university. We have access to basically every publication ever in our field. Don't burn a tank of gas per prompt asking robot trained to bullshit some plausible language

Couldn't agree more. The few times I've tried LLMs in my work (engineering research) I spent much more time editing and fact-checking. Would have been faster just to write the whole thing myself. Maybe I just need proper training on how to use it, but I'm 20y into that career at this point so 🤷‍♂️
