I’ll do Deathly Hallows as one -
proper conclusion. don’t really have much negative to say I always thought it delivered. splitting in two parts was ultimately the best decision

HBP - a vast improvement over OotP in every way and the cinematography is beautiful.
Moving up my rankings

Order used to be my favorite but I think it’s sliding down the rankings. trying to keep my opinions strictly to the movies but I can’t help but feel this was an extreme cliff notes take on that book.
also feel like OotP lacks a distinct style esp in comparison to the previous two.

dragons cool as hell I can’t hate on that lol

first time I’ve felt like GoF is actually a step down. Cinematography not as interesting. Pacing is too fast (to be fair, the book is big af).

but it’s committed to being a big Hollywood blockbuster (they got dragons). And the third act is peak. firmly transitions the series into new territory

PoA was the beginning of putting more focus on making a movie and not a book adaptation. that double down continues with Goblet of Fire

I grow more appreciative of PoA the more time passes. they took a risk pivoting away from the style of the first two but not disrespecting them. could’ve went wrong but paid off well

I don’t have much to say regarding the first two except they’re fun and hold up fine
