It is terrible, yet still more watchable than some of the Star Wars stuff that Disney+ has done in the last few years.

I have the same issue with the 4th volume of the Captain Easy Sundays that Fantagraphics put out. The title starts further down the spine. Drives me nuts

“Slightly smaller than an index card” - so if you realise you are being scammed, manage to cancel the subscription and decide to just buy normal cards they won’t fit in the pretty wooden box.

I’m assuming that this will be full contact - so you can take out anyone trying to make a catch that disadvantages your team, in any way you see fit? If so, I’m in.

Kirby had peaked well before he left Marvel for DC, and his subsequent work is ugly and/or dull. Characters like the New Gods or the Eternals have failed multiple times because they are not very good.

It’s been a few years for me too and i can see that take, but for me the endless exposition felt like an endorsement or at the very least an indulgence. Probably won’t stop me from reading the Parker one. I’m not even a huge Elvis fan but that would be the 8th book I’ve read about him!

Read the Guardian review today and was worried that Guralnick might once again be captured by his subject. IIRC the last third of the Phillips bio is nearly unreadable espousing of Sam’s view of his own greatness. Which is a shame because the rest was very good.
