Well we put up our California flag today. As I was hanging it up I hummed the song “California” by Joni Mitchell. Also putting up my Yes on 50 lawn sign once I get it. Just doing my part to make a statement (and to piss off a few neighbors).

Saw The Naked Gun movie today with the grandkids. It’s was pretty funny and Liam Neeson did a great job of replicating the old schtick from previous Naked Gun movies. Just nice to get away from the shit world and laugh for a couple of hours.

Excellent. Keep working on this. I am 85% CA Natives in front yard and 60% in the back. It has taken years to convert to natives, but it is great to see all the native insects in the garden now. (Pipevine swallowtail caterpillar on a Dutchman’s Pipevine).

Just came home from a week on the coast in Elk, CA. Desperately needed this respite for the heart and soul. In CA we are are having strong winds, low humidity and extreme fire danger for a few days. Captured this video last night of the strong surf and winds pushing through.

As a second generation Californian I agree to this. I cherish my state. I love the people, places, freedoms, food, diversity and pure beauty this state has to offer, to everyone. This photo was taken today on the Northern CA coast near Elk, CA. I am thankful that I live here. Peace to all✌🏼

Happy Fathers Day to my sweetheart. He took on the role of raising my daughters who are both very independent, loving, hard working citizens. I took him to the CA coast for a week to unwind. It’s been a tough couple of months. Night one dirty martinis, whiskey and the sound of the ocean.

I have been stressed out with what has been going with our country. I have been harnessing my anguish into more stained glass. Made three panels over the past 30 days, 6”x30”, 4”x24”, and 3”x20”. I am starting to look like that old art lady with all my creations. Oh, and fuck Trump!
