If Maxey were more Harden, I could see Oubre, who is much better as an attacking finisher. It’s one reason why he plays better off Jo, he skillfully uses Jo’s gravity to surf the gaps & attack seams while keeping his eyes open & hands ready.

Maxey needs a playmaker big to really flourish though

Possible, but I believe the starters will be Maxey, Grimes, PG, Watford, Embiid.

Better two-way versatility plus Watford can facilitate for the other 4 scorers in myriad ways, either in the PnR or 2nd side DHOs for the guards after a swing, which can also led to Embiid duck-ins for Hi-lows

Sometimes the starters are about the best sheer talents but the best fit which optimizes the best talent to do what they do.

Watford can do the “Dray-lite” stuff for Maxey/Grimes/PG out of PnR or Handoffs, while also working the Hi-Low with Jo like Batum could.

Tbh, my preference would be:
Maxey, Grimes, PG, Watford, Jo

Size + playmaking, plus letting any of Maxey & Grimes + PG work as second side attackers using Watford as the connector hub after the swing

From what I’ve seen during this draft process: He’s a hyper athletic legit 7ft with a motor & good defensive instincts who is a helluva rim roller

Let him learn from Jo under Nurse’s staff
