Little Nightmares is amazing, but I'm hard pressed to even call it horror. Outlast (1) is tense and atmospheric until you get to the final area and it gets thrown completely out the window and becomes extremely meh with the exact same thing happening in Whistleblower. I can't be the only one, right?

Last I checked SH4 wasn’t canon either, but like I said I don’t know if that’s been retconned in the last 15+ years since that was the last time I even interacted with the fandom.

For SH2 I don’t believe the endings matter as much as opposed to what we see in the story and learn of the people drawn to the town.

I always seen the endings as a way for people to pick a resolution they really resonated with and go “Yeah, that’s how it should end.” For me the “Drowning” is canon.

Silent Hill 2 is a spin-off that doesn’t canonically happen might be a big reason why. Unless that’s been retconned in the last 15+ years.

Darkest Dungeon 2 has instances where you have to make decision from the perspective of a party member. When encountering refugees 1 member might say “Let’s earn their favor.” While another will straight say “Fuck’em. Take everything they got.”

Never looked into it like that. Always associated first wave PlayStations as PSX and the slims, the ones branded as PSOne, as PS1. I also, personally, never saw an analog controller until the PS1 released but I guess that’s more on me.
