...and we can do something about it. WE THE PEOPLE. We're probably the only way out of this now.

Anyway, they decided not to report on it then so we can definitely expect that they won't report on it now. It's up to the common people to get the message out in other ways & make sure America finds out about it somehow so we can all be aware that we've been in a constitutional crisis for MONTHS...

Because, at least then, it would be completely understandable and there'd be a concern for the entirety of America and not just to save their own skins in a mere semi-likely scenario (i.e.: the Trump supporters) or for their *reputations*.

I understand that they would have good reasons for keeping this confidential, but I'd rather have heard that they decided not to do it because Putin threatened to nuke the USA if they did do it than hear that they did it due to mere Trump supporters, Trump's wrath, or to generally keep civil.

In other words, it's a mix of the fact that Democrats were too afraid for one reason or another and that mainstream news websites decided not to publicly report on it for their own reasons that we're now in this mess and they'd rather not ever let the general public know that it was ever possible.

...So they can avoid facing Trump's wrath. They're merely hoping anyone who even knew it existed will forget about it and that nobody who didn't already know will ever find out about it since it can still be enacted any time (or to avoid general outrage for not using it).

...like a "lesser evil." Unfortunately, since big news websites decided not to report on it before Trump's inauguration to induce immense pressure for action and Democrats like Nancy Pelosi decided not to act in time for one reason or another, they are now too afraid to even mention it publicly...

Which, in this case, could include anything from an alleged civil war from civilian Trump supporters and Republican politicians to even the notion of Russia & Co. nuking us. Of course, they could trust that Democrats wouldn't cause a civil war over a Trump presidency, allegedly, so that seemed...

...to moderate voters and Republicans/Independents. This may have been another reason why mainstream websites did not wish to report on it either, as it could have emboldened MORE people, a massive amount, to pressure politicians into enacting it, which could have had perceived "consequences."

The only sources that were directly reporting on this were fringe political websites and individual newsletters. Because of this, it was seen as a fringe solution that could easily be ignored, possibly due to its perceived "extremeness" which Democrats still wish to avoid for their reputation...
