Text that reads: Under the overhang of the balcony that overlooked the secluded garden was Serenthesus' favorite spot to practice the violin. They worried they'd bother those who were inside with their playing, and they weren't permitted to leave the castle property by any means under prince Von's command. The butler had been given a rare day off, deciding that it should be used to practice a song they'd been learning for the next time Vienna chose to visit. It was the glass doll's favorite, something they'd learned recently, and they hoped they'd be able to make it a nice surprise. They took a breath, placing the chinrest of the violin against their neck and settling into position. The lilting tune of a very classical, slow moving song filled the nearby area with each slide of the bow across the wooden instrument's strings. It was solemn, almost melancholic in its tune, though beautiful nonetheless. Serenthesus hummed, letting their eyes drift shut for a moment to focus on the feeling of the instrument, and continue the melody from memory... However closing their eyes for even a moment was enough for their mind to wander. Back to the dream they'd had the night prior; It had been very hazy, a mix of feeling like they were floating lightly on a cloud, they couldn't tell where exactly they were in the dream, only that they were warm and safe in the embrace of someone they couldn't recall the name of. He had long white hair, and the most gorgeous green eyes. He had held Seren's head so gently with a gloved hand, calling them by the name "Khokav-Lekhet". They wondered what that meant. It had been said so softly they were sure it was some kind of nickname of endearment like the ones used in their books. It wasn't one they were familiar with, they didn't know what language the words were from, or how to translate them. During another part of the dream, there had been someone else too, this person was a bit more feral in a sense, the way he flirted very crudely, and devoured sweet apple tarts. But he felt like home, like someone sturdy that could be relied on, and a goofball who could cheer up the whole room. While the setting and day of it all had felt fuzzy, these two had felt very vivid, very alive. Serenthesus had never slept so well, they woke up disoriented, half wishing the dream had been a reality. But they of course were only met with the sight of the small closet they called their room. And a panging longing that filled their chest once the reality set back in. They were still happy in their life, though maybe they'd need to read less books lest they start craving some fantastical delusion of a life they knew was too farfetched to be real. The sound of a man clearing his throat was enough to snap Serenthesus back into the current moment, their body jolting, causing the violins melody to end with an abrupt, ear splitting shriek of one of the strings. "You're distracted." Von declares, making his presence known as he steps out into the garden. "A-ah. I. Apologize, I was just daydreaming is all." Serenthesus replies, a knot twisting in their gut and a look of guilt and shame twisting their features, as if they'd just been caught for treason. "What could you be daydreaming about that's left you looking so pathetic? You were smiling a moment ago." The prince's voice comes out, smooth with a cruel smirk lifting the corners of his mouth. He takes his butlers chin in his hand and forced them to look up at him, though they glance their eyes to the side. " Out with it." "It's nothing, really. Just reminiscing a good dream. " "If it's nothing you shouldn't mind sharing it with me. Don't keep secrets, Serenthesus. It's shameful." "... A domestic dream, with two lovers. It was sweet, and is difficult to get out of my head." Von cringed for a moment, nose crinkling up in judgement. "I hope you aren't getting any ideas from it. You belong to me. Do you understand?" He whispers, tightening his grip on the others jaw as his brows furrowed in a mock pout. "You wouldn't hurt me like that, would you? Leaving me after all I've done for you?" "O-of course not! I wouldn't think of it. As I said, it was just a dream. " Serenthesus whimpers as the pressure against their jaw grows painful. There's a few beats if silence, before Von lets go. "Good. Now, I need you to take on someone's shift, I dismissed Evelynn of her duties. She was getting on my nerves poking around my study instead of cleaning."
