Also it’s your choice if you want to deny your own feelings about your own gender and sexuality but generally speaking that’s not a good thing to repress for the sake of being “normal” and it’ll only make your life worse to live inauthentically

Expanding on this: and even after all this, minors can’t medically transition unless their parents consent to it and they have a doctor sign off on it, so it’s not like kids go to school cis and come back transgender

And also puberty blockers are reversible

They’re not giving children gender reassignment surgery as a first option, if there’s any actual surgery being done it’ll be on people who are 16-17 at the youngest, and only after extensively considering alternative options, and even after that, nobody is actually getting bottom surgery until 18

Also they went through this whole bathroom scare with lesbians. Turns out people who are actual predators will harass people regardless of if a sign says they’re allowed into a bathroom or not. These bills just scapegoat trans people

Why should the state involve itself in a personal medical matter that’s between a patient, their family, and their doctor?
