Everyone in this house has a cold today. I think I might be on the mend. This marionette journey certainly slows one down to become and to create no matter how long it takes. I'm working on carving hands today, if the weather would just warm up. No fun freezing in my shed studio. #puppets

Today's rainy day project on the bench is figuring out this thing called wood carving. My dad seemed to leave me just the right amount of tools to see if I can do this. The pouch of hand chisels, they must be in some case in his things. Nervous about a whole head but will give it a go. #marionette

Everywhere I go, my mind is seeing the world through the eyes of puppets. I imagine how I could lift it with strings. I am immersed in my new frame of mind. My accelerated learning is finding its footing and I am learning many valuable lessons. #marionette

One of the problems with a puppet made with leather straps for legs and no knees is a straight up kick. Today's explorations in stringing.

Today we're taking an old German touristy doll and giving him some new stuffing legs and life. This one I think I'll play with an extra controller so he can actually paint with his right hand.
