Wondering what your take on this is re: leafs core not performing because of a lack of puck moving ability on D despite adding solid defenders? Haven’t seen a lot of people point to this as a reason why the team construction has failed

do we have an idea what the leafs 5v5 xG/SA would look like with McCabe (and Matthews) in/Benoit out? do the leafs move from mediocre/horrible metrics to at least respectable? from any underlying numbers seems like it's hard to make a case the leafs being one of the best teams this yr
