@sarahkendzior.bsky.social I just found your substack. I wanted to express my deep appreciation for your words, wisdom, and truth-telling. It is hard to accept and yet also freeing at the same time. Liberation comes in many forms and it starts first in the mind. "Ideas are weapons" M. Lerner

Some days when you take shit, it is one of those poops where there is nothing when you wipe. It is like ass magic. Other days, it is like a turd poking through as you can go through a whole roll of TP and you are left wiping for days...We are about to have 4 years daily shits like the latter.

Shame is a socially constructed emotion. It didn't originate in you. It is not you. Children don't naturally feel shame, they learn it. If you struggle with shame, It is because you were taught, repeatedly, that something was wrong with you. It is the greatest form of gaslighting there is.

For every daughter with 'daddy' issues is a man who most likely has both 'mommy' and 'daddy' issues himself. Whatever we do or don't work on ourselves as men, gets passed down to children as their emotional inheritance. Are we passing down a debt or a nest egg?

(Post of 1 of 2) Not mine, but worth repeating: "Someday your kids are going to figure you out. I promise you they will. The type of parent you are, the type of spouse you are, how much effort you put into them, how much you value your goals and priorities....

Men who threaten, demean, disempower, subordinate, control, mock, or intentional hurt women are not strong, powerful, or emotionally healthy men. They are wounded men who neither acknowledge their own wounds nor work towards healing them.
