dear Tim Apple I don't know what your definition of 'intelligence' is but I would think Apple Intelligence should just open slack app when I type "slack" into spotlight ; also why would I type the word "slack" if what I wanted to do was look up the word "saint" in a thesaurus ? this is truly bizarre

So this is still happening, and still feels crappy, though I suspect much less crappy than if I had not had another vaccine in May. New vaccines coming this fall at least in Canada.
