one further thought which i'd been mulling over, with regards to lion professor guy:
at first i thought, "this is likely going to be morose. she doesn't know he's with another man," but on balance, i actually don't think i want to write that at all.

ok. re: that big lion professor guy, i think i'm starting to have a reasonable idea for what sort of story he could go into.
it occurred to me that:
- he could be tenured.
- he is retiring.
- he is married [to a woman.]
- he is seeing another man on the side. maybe a professor, too.
