A huge step forward for badgers! The House of Lords has voted in favour of Amendment 130 to the Planning and Infrastructure Bill, a move that could stop badgers, habitats and other protected species from being sacrificed for development projects.

Neil Duncan-Jordan, MP for Poole, has warned that loopholes in current laws are allowing fox hunting to continue under different names despite the 2005 ban.

Yet again a farmer taking the initiative and winning the fight against bovine TB, while DEFRA pontificate and can kick to oblivion. Who is best serving the farming industry, pioneers like this or a complicit DEFRA to an industry in denial and its representation.

"some people will disagree" is a total understatement of the rage. After pictures of the nesting cliffs covered in dead gannets hit by bird flue. What on earth are you thinking. This is an inexcusable ecocide. Once more not fit to have the responsibility springs to mind.

NatureScot has signed off on the slaughter of up to 500 gannet chicks this year on Sula Sgeir — despite acknowledging public outrage.
As they put it: “We understand there are very strong feelings about the guga hunt, and that some people will disagree with it taking place…"
