I feel the same, but I'm unsure if it's a bad thing. I've gone back and played some older games that were my favorite growing up (Zelda: LttP & OoT) and they definitely were harder for me compared to newer ones in the same franchise (Zelda: BotW & TotK). That said, I enjoyed them all.

Yeah! I had some really cool sci-fi ones that had to do with aliens (though I've always been more of a fantasy nerd).
It's probably what kicked off my interest in trpgs.
