there's an element of sexual jealousy at play too, the way Victor waylays Elizabeth coming back from visiting the Creature in her translucent nightgown, outright accuses her of feeling an attraction to him, and then tries to make it about himself and her rejection of him

I'm obsessed with how what fully tips Victor into hatred for the Creature and sends him into a jealous rage is Elizabeth's connection to, compassion for, and admiration of the Creature, all of which directly drives Victor to frame him for murder and try to kill him
