Here are some of the the dogs that will not feature at tonight's "gala" awards. The ones that the industry and complicit Labor and LNP politicians want us all to forget. But we never will. This is the cruel reality of racing, not the sham awards.

Former NSW greyhound trainer sentenced in Wagga Local Court over the unlawful killing of four greyhounds in 2022. His offences carried a maximum term of 2 years in prison. He received 18-month corrections order & $7850 fine.

In December, thanks to bipartisan support, New Zealand’s most conservative coalition government in years announced a ban on greyhound racing to protect the welfare of dogs. Without a political football to kick around, it seems governments can do the right thing.

Ipswich (Qld) - "Goes Like Gary" who would have been 3 next month, "approaching the catching pen was checked & then stumbled." He was "euthanised". He came 3rd (in green), he did everything they asked, and now he is dead

2 greyhounds showed injury signs before their races but were still forced to run.
"Leichhardt Roar" was showing signs of "lameness". "Mick's Over" didn't appear to be himself and after racing was found to have "hip support soreness"
