The leader of the gang and Ace of Hearts, Jesse de Molai is the leader of the gang and John's big brother, a big reason why he left home. While protective of his family, charming, and pretty, Jesse is no less dangerous than anyone else. Art done by the wonderful @exleston.bsky.social!

A movie that takes place where you’re from

For better or for worse

------------------------------

Technically not where I live exactly but it's kinda close. My partner's mother actually met Ford during the filming and he was surprised no one gave a shit who he was out here.

The other Ace focused on in Aces High is Silas Engels, John's adoptive father, teacher, and guardian angel (in more ways than one). Soft-spoken, highly religious, and gentle, he still suffers no fools and is more dangerous than he ever lets on. Art done by the wonderful @exleston.bsky.social!

The latest stunningly beautiful work by @exleston.bsky.social, meet John's adoptive mother, Teresa Bouchard. A wise sage, a voodoo caplata, and the ringmaster of a traveling carnival of social outcasts and marginalized beasts, she raised John until he departed at the age of 16.

In honor of the five-years-in-the-making Voice of Dog reading of the opening for Aces High, available here: fenrispublishing.com/product.php?..., and the episode here: thevoice.dog?episode=aces..., I'd like to talk about some things regarding writing I've considered over the years. 1/?

My book, Aces High, features a gay protagonist and love interest as they navigate the hypermasculinity that is the American West in 1900, supernatural beings, magic, crisis of identity, regret, revenge, and the desire to do better with a second chance at life.

In honor of Furry Book Month and for my birthday, my debut novel, courtesy of @fenrispublishing.bsky.social, Aces High is on sale here: fenrispublishing.com/product.php?...!

And costume number 3, featuring @robomattias.bsky.social!

This one seems to be most people's favorite and I don't mind! I'm always glad to be out and about as Dexus! Maybe catch him again tonight at the dance!

Costume number 2! Not as successful a wear as others, but was still a good attempt regardless!

Felt cute, might run into traffic later. Which side is my good side?Left, right, antlers, or hooves?

Suit and mask by @forfunbangkok.bsky.social

Wore this to AC's raves last year and will again this year.

First commission in *checks notes* many years!

Done by the lovely Eisle of a character/scenario I've been thinking about since AC last year, the perpetually anxious Felix being faux-chastised by his owner, Preston, for bringing home another broken android.

Playing Jackbox with my crew and this is a question we got. God, this specific game aged... like fine wine.

Drew this, my character Evander in a campaign a friend is running. Best thing I've ever drawn. He's an artillerist artificer but spends most of his time making clockwork toys that play music and dance.
December 17, 2024 at 5:11 AM
And another scene, something a bit more complex but still not very full or good/clean.

This time we have the other protagonist from Aces High, Robin Valentine. Here he's in his natural habitat, winning too much at cards until someone pulls a gun. Or puts a knife through his hand...

You know what, I also pulled this out of my ass tonight. Showing, for the first time ever, John Blackfoot.

And I'm pretty sure that look means, "Find a fucking point. NOW."

Still not great with faces or proportions but I wanted to put this out because I'm proud as hell of it.

I've been learning-ish to draw. Focusing on drawing stuff related to my novel, Aces High, soon to be republished by @fenrispublishing.bsky.social. And it's sequel, Joker's Wild, right after, too!

Ain't great, but I'm happy with how these came out all the same.
