Paintbrush flowers top blue bonnets in my opinion.
Bluebonnets are pretty don't get me wrong. Paintbrush blooms are so bright, and last so long. Love this time of year.

I moved so much more dirt this weekend, and I am reminded how much I hate working with sugar sand.
Too bad that's the majority of the post oak savannah in our region.
Dogs love it though. Fun to dig in.
